By Fire Fighter Jacob Reed
May 9, 2016

On May 9, 2016 at 00:04 hours Stafford County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to Cherry Laurel Drive for a reported structure fire. The first arriving units from the Falmouth station arrived five minutes after dispatch and found fire throughout the first floor extending to the attic and through the roof of a rambler-style single family house. All occupants had evacuated before arrival. Multiple lines were deployed and the bulk of fire was under control in approximately 20 minutes. The structure sustained significant fire damage to the first floor, attic, and roof; the basement sustained water damage. Four occupants, two adult and two children, are displaced and they have made their own accommodations for shelter.

Units: Engine 7
