Tanker to King George

In the evening hours of Feb. 10th Tanker 7 was dispatched to a residential fire off of Caledon Road (218). The tanker got out quickly and was first to arrive on scene. After determining from the homeowners that all persons where out of the house a quick size up was done and the decision was made to go ahead and commit the tanker to the driveway and become the attack piece. The King George Battalion Chief arrived almost simultaneously and assumed command. Tanker 7's crew was able to pull an 1 3/4" attack line and knock down the bulk of the fire before other units arrived. Once KG E11 arrived on scene they supplied Tanker 7 with water and a second attack line was pulled and placed in service off of the tanker. Crews worked in the interior as well as the exterior for some time to fully extinguish the fire as the home had multiple add-ons and was full of void spaces.

Special thanks to the members that came out that night after the call and the next morning to help put Tanker 7 back in service!
